William Lopez

William Lopez of Barnegat, NJ, passed away at the age of 67 on Saturday, October 1, 2022. Born to Luz “Mary” and Luis Lopez, William grew up in Bristol, Pennsylvania, and lived in Bucks County before moving to Barnegat in 1994. He shared two children with his beloved wife, Betsy, whom he married in 1984. He worked for over 20 years as a manager at Auto Sunroof, an aftermarket auto detailing and installation business.

William enjoyed traveling and spending time with Betsy and their family and friends. He took great pride in building a home and frequently took on impressive DIY home improvement projects around the house. He loved animals and cherished his dogs, Oscar, Max, Daisy, and Colin. He was creative and empathetic, but his unwavering sense of humor will be missed most of all.

He is survived by his wife of 38 years, Elizabeth (Betsy); his two children, Robert and Melissa; his mother, Mary (Gonzales) Lopez; and his siblings, Carmen, Victor, Grizette, Yvonne, Kathy, Elva, Herbert, Erick, and Sandro. He was a dear uncle and brother-in-law to many others.

A memorial gathering will take place on Friday, October 7, 2022 from 1PM until his memorial service, 3PM at Maxwell-Tobie Funeral Home, 573 Mill Creek Road, Manahawkin, NJ 08050.
