Raymond E. Olesky, age 76, of Manahawkin, passed away on Sunday, October 10, 2021 at Southern Ocean Medical Center in Manahawkin, NJ.
Son of Sigmund and Frances Olesky, he was a life-long resident of Bayonne, NJ, prior to Manahawkin, where he resided full-time since 2011. Prior to his retirement, he and his wife ran the family business, the 26th Street Deli in Bayonne, NJ, for over 35 years. He was a member of the Elks and Masons, and was also a Rotarian.
Ray was a man that lived for his family; he was incredibly proud of his children and grandchildren. To his family and friends, he was the life of the party and was always dressed to impress. He will be forever remembered for his generosity, jokes, amazing cooking, and appreciation for motorcycles, good music, art, and a great scotch.
He is survived by his loving family, including: his wife of over 55 years, Antoinette (nee Timpanaro) Olesky; his two daughters, Melanie Olesky-Daniels (husband, Corey) and Melissa Olesky-Graham (husband, James); his two brothers, Ronald Olesky (wife, Pat) and Philip Olesky; and his four grandchildren, Nicholas, Sydney, Garrett and Grayson. He is also survived by many loving nieces and nephews.
A memorial gathering and blessing service will take place on Saturday, November 20, 2021 from 2pm to 4pm at Maxwell-Tobie Funeral Home, 573 Mill Creek Road, Manahawkin, NJ 08050.
