Laura Oppermann

Laura Oppermann (nee Ruggiero), age 54, of Manahawkin, NJ passed away on Saturday, May 14, 2022.

Born July 27, 1967 in Englewood, NJ, she lived in Ship Bottom, NJ prior to Manahawkin where she resided since 2008. Laura was a proud graduate of the Laboratory Institute of Merchandising and graduated Valedictorian of her class. She was employed by Between The Sheets, Ship Bottom, NJ as an Interior Designer. Laura supported various charitable organizations including Stafford Township Garden at Manahawkin Lake. She also was involved in many activities at Southern Regional High School and volunteered for various clinic work. She was a member of the Southern Ocean Chamber of Commerce and the Lighthouse International Film Festival.

She is survived by her husband, Vincent Oppermann, her son, Anthony Salzarulo, her father Joseph Ruggiero, her mother Mary Lou (nee Calabrese) Oliveri and her husband Daniel, her brother, Peter Ruggiero and his wife Lauren, her two step-sons; Matthew Hook and his wife Amy, and Michael Hook and his wife Rebecca, her four grandchildren; Jake, Zack, Bella & Emma, and her two nephews; Graham & Wes. She is also survived by many loving cousins & friends.

Visiting hours will be Thursday, May 19, 2022 from 2 to 4pm and 7 to 9pm at Maxwell-Tobie Funeral Home, 573 Mill Creek Road, Manahawkin, NJ 08050. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated 11:00 am on Friday, May 20 at St. Francis Of Assisi, 4700 Long Beach Blvd., Brant Beach, NJ 08008. Cremation will be private.
