Judith Fulcher

Fulcher, Judith “Judy” Ann (nee Lake)

Thursday, the 3rd of October, 2019, Judith “Judy” Fulcher, wife, mother, grandmother, and sister, joined her husband, Robert Elwood Fulcher in Heaven.

Judy was born in Westfield, New Jersey to Rose Mortimer (nee Torborg) and James Lake, III. on February 28, 1949.  Judy grew up in Beach Haven, New Jersey, where she spent most of her days setting forth on adventures along the beach, splashing in the ocean and playing in the sand.  She attended and graduated from Southern Regional High School in Manahawkin, NJ, and then matriculated to Ocean County College in Toms River, New Jersey earning her Associates Degree in Business.  After she finished school, Judy and her husband Robert settled in Manahawkin, NJ, where she has resided for nearly 50 years.  She retired as a Teacher’s Aide for the Stafford TownshipSchool District in 2014 after 25 years of service in a job which she loved greatly.

She enjoyed swimming in the pool and spending time with her grandchildren doing crafts when they were on summer break.  She would often sing along to a toe tapping Beatles song or listen to Billy Joel on Sundays while she food shopped.  She would laugh for hours on end with her good friends while they met for lunch at the Horizon diner, and when she would get home, she would spend hours tending to her loved ones.  She was multitalented and was always in the mood to sew, do needlepoint or would craft together a fun do-dad for someone’s milestone event.  For holidays and special events, you could always find her baking away, and cranking out her famous zucchini bread, her cream cheese eggs, her bunny cakes or a yummy beef broccoli pie.

Judy is survived by her sons Christopher R. Fulcher (Shanna) of Vineland, NJ and Casey W. Fulcher (Van) of Manahawkin, NJand step-son Robert Fulcher (Eileen) of Blackwood, NJ;Grandchildren, Ashley Fulcher, Jaison Fulcher, Joseph Fulcher (Britny), Kyle Fulcher, and Deanna Heino (Cody); Great-Grandchildren, McKayla & Remeigh Fulcher; Brother, John Mortimer, Jr.; Sister, Wendy Erlandson.
