Dorothy “Dottee” Lepore (Miraglia), age 95, passed away at her home in Surf City on Wednesday, April 14, 2021.
Born at her parent’s home in Fort Lee, New Jersey, she lived and raised her family in Cliffside Park prior to retiring to Surf City, where she lived “island life” for almost 33 years. Dottee was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, and sister. Dottee was selflessly devoted to her family and her cats. She loved spending time with friends and family on the beach or around the pool. Always dressed to the nines, she enjoyed trips to Atlantic City to play the slots, volunteering at the Surflight Theater and Southern Ocean County Hospital Auxiliary’s “Old and New” shop. She spent many an hour bowling and kibitizing with friends at the Thunderbird Lanes in Manahawkin. Most of all she loved just having a glass of wine, a house filled with laughter, and providing great memories for all who visited.
She was predeceased by her husband, George Lepore, in 1994.
Dottee is survived by her three loving daughters: Susan Madara, Jeannie Bertinato, and Patti Pearson; her nine grandchildren: Noelle, Chris, Daryl, Steven, Kyle, Craig, Amanda, Wyatt, and Andrew; and seven great grandchildren: Alli, Kole, Karsyn, George, Penelope, Wyatt, and Heath.
Services will be private with a celebration of life later this year in Surf City. In lieu of flowers or donations do a random act of kindness or pick up a 7-10 split for a spare.
