Claire Johns (née Grant), age 65, of Manahawkin, NJ passed away peacefully with her loving husband Steve by her side on September 17, 2023.

Born December 11, 1957 in Teaneck, New Jersey, Claire was one of five children of Claire Grant and Edmond Grant. Her father served in the U.S Army, allowing her to grow up between Cliffside Park, NJ and Arlington, VA. Claire’s family settled in Ship Bottom, NJ. She then attended Southern Regional High School, graduating in 1975. Claire worked as a bookkeeper for Stohrer Bro’s Inc. for over 30 years, where she met Steve.

Claire is predeceased by her father, Edmond and her daughter, Alyssa.

She is survived by her husband of 33 years, Steve, and her two sons, Steven Johns (Kiersten) and Robert Ferringo (Kaitlyn) who is expecting Claire’s first Grandson this fall. She will be greatly missed by her mother, Claire Grant, her sisters, Jackie and Cathy, her brothers, Eddie and Michael, and her brothers-in-law, sisters-in-law, nieces, nephews, and cousins.

Services will be held on Thursday, September 21, 2023 at St. Mary of the Pines Church, 100 Bishop Lane, Manahawkin at 10:00am.
