Obituary
Aphrodite “Frieda” Harrison, age 78, of Manahawkin, NJ passed away on Sunday, August 6, 2023 at Southern Ocean Medical Center of Manahawkin, NJ.
Born September 15, 1944 in Paterson, NJ, she lived in Paterson prior to Manahawkin where she resided since 1978. Frieda was a loving daughter, wife, mother, grandmother and aunt. She loved animals and served as a volunteer care giver for the Passaic County Pet Adoption.
She is predeceased by her parents, George Marountas, and Vasiliki "Bessie" Valsamis Marountas, her two sons, Herman C. "Bubbie" Harrison III, and Daniel Marountas, and her two sisters, Ernestine James and Georgia Toussas.
Frieda is survived by her husband, Herman C. Harrison Jr., her two daughters, Andrea Nieves and Cindy Foster, her sister, Jennie Figliolino, her 10 grandchildren, 14 great-grandchildren, and her many loving nieces and nephews.
Visiting hours will be held on Saturday, August 12, 2023 from 12PM to 4PM with a blessing service at 3:30PM at Maxwell-Tobie Funeral Home, 573 Mill Creek Road, Manahawkin, NJ 08050. Cremation is private.
