Donald Glen Brummer, age 81, of Atlantic Hills, Manahawkin, NJ passed away peacefully on Sunday, March 18, 2018.
Born in Linden, NJ, he lived in Colonia, NJ prior to Manahawkin where he resided since 1988. Donald was an auto salesman working for Chrysler Dodge in Manahawkin. He proudly served his country in the U.S. Navy at the end of the Korean Conflict and during the Vietnam War. He was an avid hunter, NY Yankees fan and Dallas Cowboys fan. He enjoyed bowling and boxing. He also coached little league baseball. Donald was a great story teller, a good craftsman and handyman, and had a love for his dogs.
He is predeceased by his parents, Philip and Myrtle Graves Brummer, and his three brothers; Jack, Philip and Walter Brummer.
Donald leaves behind his loving wife, Janet Giglio Brummer, his three sons; Don Brummer & his wife Susan, Mark Brummer & his wife Lori and Eric Brummer, his two brothers; Albert and Ronald Brummer, his sister Arlene Parsons and his five grandchildren; Lukas, Wayne, Natalie, Samantha and Maggie.
Visiting hours will be held on Thursday, March 22, 2018, from 5pm to 9pm at Maxwell-Tobie Funeral Home, 573 Mill Creek Road, Manahawkin, NJ 08050. A funeral service will take place on Friday, March 23, 2018, 11am at the funeral home. Interment will follow at St. Mary’s Cemetery, Manahawkin.
