About Us

A Message from Mark Tobie, Owner & Manager

“Some people ask me how I can do this type of work every day. The answer is that it’s more of a calling than a business. I do it to care for families when they need it most…at the time of the loss of a loved one. It’s an honor to help families and it is something I plan to do for the rest of my life.”

At Maxwell-Tobie Funeral & Cremation Service, our family is here to help your family when faced with the loss of a loved one. Traditional funeral or an innovative service, we will work with you to plan and conduct an event that honors the story of your loved one.

Your family has 24 access to our family, 7 days a week, for your times of need

Regardless of when you call our office, our family is here to help you. After hours or if we are caring for a family, your call will be answered by our answering service who will ask you some basic information so we may return your call. Calls are returned within minutes.

If your loved one has passed, our family’s goal is to have your loved one in our care as soon as possible.

Services can be as traditional or non-traditional, innovative

We provide full traditional services as well as customized “outside the box” innovations. The following are a few examples of non-traditional services we have done with families.

  • For a motorcycle enthusiast, we set up the bike in the chapel and created a display of his favorite guitar and amp.
  • For a local family with a large home, we conducted the entire memorial at their house including a backyard barbecue, including a rock band.
  • For local firefighters, we arrange for the use an antique fire truck as the hearse to lead the procession.

For every family we serve, we create a video tribute that celebrates the life of their loved one

We provide veterans and first responders with a premium level of service
